Treated wood waste (TWW) comes from old wood such as fence posts, decking, rails or landscape timbers that has been treated with chemical preservatives to protect it from insect or fungal damage. These treatments can present a risk to both human health and the environment, especially from exposure as a result of burning or sawing the wood.
